I used to play a game some time ago where you would start off around the iron age(ish) and progress to future tech. It was turn base strategy, where each player can make so many moves each turn.

Details I remember:

- It's old, at least 6 years
- There was an "Eco-Terrorist" which when used would trigger a cutscene showing a person on a motorcycle enter a city and a subsequent "green/Bio" explosion.
- You could get nuclear submarines

I know it's not a lot to go on but any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping the eco-terrorist will jog some memories.

Civ 4 has eco terrorists and nuclear armaments. It came out in 2005 which is 8-9 years ago.

I don't remember you only being able to make so many moves a turn, but other wise this sounds exactly like Civilization : Call To Power II.

Yeah, sounds very much like Call to Power. Not sure if it's the first or second one though.

The cutscene he mentions sounds a lot like this.

BAM! Exactly it.

Thanks guys, gunna love playing this again :)

Even found the original cover to the copy I had, makes me wonder if I still have it up in the loft :D

I remember spending faaaar too long on this game. It was the first Civ-style game I'd ever played and it didn't have a manual. Once I'd learnt the basics I was hooked.

I loved stacking nukes in orbit around other cities and completely wiping them out at a moments notice....

I've been racking my mind for a good month trying to remember the name of this epic title, didn't think what I could remember of it would get an accurate response but man am I glad I asked. A truly great title that got me hooked on strategy games from child hood. It was released when I was 9, and the second a year later...Man those days where awesome :D
