I'm trying to positively identify an AGP Gainward 7800 GS+

The owner is in doubt whether it actually is as Riva shows 20 pipes.

( I know it should be 24 pipes but he has asked on another forum and was told that it could be a GS+ but with 4 faulty pipes )

The current owner has the box it came in stating GS+

From the actual card, he has given these details :

Numbers are: 7800GS AGP8X 512MB TVOUT 2DVI
PIN:XMA/780GS+t352-PM88370-GS

Has anyone got one of these cards and can help ?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Can you tell me the serial numbers on the card and any other numbers on the card that could help identify it by email. **

The card is not installed to run any software test.

** If you don't want to post them publicly , my emails in trust.

Thanks,

Mark

Not unless you can tell me a way to get the numbers without removing the side panel/card.
I done a massive rebuild and clean up the other day and my system is all back plugged in my desk slot and set up lovely. Stripping it would be a pain i could do without.
Is there any way i can help without a strip down ?

I know the product I.D. number as i have the receipt in front of me.
Stock I.D = GX-032-GW
Any help ?

No problem , I fully understand. :)

The numbers would be similar to :

Numbers are: 7800GS AGP8X 512MB TVOUT 2DVI
PIN:XMA/780GS+t352-PM88370-GS

On the sticker on the back of the card.

Its the T352 bit that seems to be a key factor.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Dear Mark let me tell yu we are thousands people in europe in this case. As for me ,i am from France and it cost me 50 pounds shippin to get mine ! See what i mean? ...All reports are the same when we all checked the bios with RTurner ,Everest edition 3.5 or differents way software ...This is a G71 Rev A2 But with 20 PP 7VS .As yu can see the problem is that as yu ,i ordered it at OCUK and my Stock ID is GX-032-GW .This means it should be a 24PP8VS. WE don t understand what happenned? All companies of each order says they didn t know it and apologise about the trouble.Gainward tell us to send it back to em via the company we ordered it but most of the time the answer is :Sorry we do not have any more24PP8VS , but we can exchange it with a 20PP7VS Last new one called: GOES LIKE HELL one (this could be funny in others circonstances) but the fact is WE HAVE BEEN SCREEWED! The question is WHO is the Screewer? We can t beleave that a company like Gainward would make a new card without having checking any caracteristics like the Bios System and sold it on the market anyway...so the traders? All of em noticed that the packaging was strange as if the box had been opened before.Did yu noticed something like that when yu received yurs?
Can yu tell me what happenned to yu and did yu resolved yur problem with that anyway? Thanks in advance Ask u
