identify this thing

This arrived in the post today addressed to me, the company name on the return (altrack.com) line doesn't seem to exist, although the postcode is a business centre estate in Feltham where MSI resides according to Google maps. I did not order this!

Both pieces are plastic, the bag contains screws. No note inside, no invoice, no packing list etc.

My bikes have carbon belts, not chains, so can't be some random company sending me a chain guard

Weird, I guess someone out there is missing their new chain guard then

I can confirm that it is in fact as of this moment, an internal component of the recycling bin

I can now bring closure to this as it has just been identified. It was indeed a chain cover for an ebike I'm due to receive next week. The maker sent the cover on its own with no paperwork or notice and only this morning said "oh yeah by the way...."

I have of course chucked it into plastic recycling long ago. Brilliant.
