Hi,

Not sure if I'm best asking this here or in the Graphics Card section but...
I'm wondering if there's a way to make sure you're getting a good DP 1.4 cable and not something that's so borderline it causes flickering or whatever?
I need to connect a 4K/144Hz monitor with a DP 1.4a connector and don't want to spend time and money trying multiple cables until I get lucky.

Is it as simple as buying a DP 2.0/2.1 cable as this will be over spec'd for 1.4a?

Thanks.

Unless you need a particularly long cable (over 5 meters) I'd not worry about it too much, just get one thats the right 1.4a spec and if its not working right then return it. HDMI 2.1 would be fine too if your GPU and monitor support it.

Isn't this just a case of buying good quality one that is not one of the cheapest you can find?
Had my fair share of DP cable issues, but it was usually cheap and chearful stuff that simply was not well made (mechanically).
