Identifying Parts

As a follow up to my thread entitled 'Salvaging parts', could someone please identify some parts of my pc for me as I am a complete noob when it comes to that. All i really know is where is where my graphics card is so any help is useful to me.

nothing is wrong with it, i just need to know what is what, very new to the wholething and im planning to use some parts from it, namingly the ram and the cd drive. and its around 300, i would be willing to push to 400 IF i really had to.

It's SATA judging by the pic (the blue cable looks like a SATA cable anyway)

remove hard drive, type it's model number into google.

for more info, locate website of manufacter of hard drive, locate it's manual under "support"
