IDIOT on COD4

Hey guys, got a first hand taste of two aimbotters today on COD4. Basically i was playing the pipeline map and there were 32 players. For some reason two players (one called SIbot unsurprisingly - the other called Kablors or something) were continuously first or second with only 2 deaths and about 250 kills between them!

One of the guys on our team voluntered to spectate for five mins and he caught some good video (which i dont have to show you lol) basically these guys would simply shoot in the general dircetion of an enemy player and fire and the enemy would immediately die. This includes shooting through completely solid walls which conventional COD4 weapons cant shoot through.

My question is, with such blaitant cheating etc, why doesnt punkbuster and the other systems pick them up? are they really that crap that these people cant be stopped for ruining it for others?

christ the people that go to this level of effort to cheat must be complete morons - oh and lets avoid the clever comments please along the lines of 'you are just crap' etc, as i most certainly am not.

All i have to add, is that you can shoot through solid walls. Punkbuster does its best, but you cant expect it to pick up every hack or cheat, theres only so fast even balance can catch up with new hacks
 
not Vicious of GoD? (if you are you will know what i mean lol)

I kinda thought that the code you would need to implement an aimbot would be pretty specific and therefore something that could be combated. Obviously not though.

Any security system like that can be bypassed. Every system will have flaws and those flaws will be exploited.

Punkbuster does do a good job of stopping the cheats that aren't coded very well, but it can be bypassed.
 
With all due respect you can't blame your lack of skill on cheating. Pinkbuster gets all cheaters no doubt, in fact i don't think i've ever seen one person cheating so far :confused:

Mate it's not hard to rack up a load of kills with only a couple of deaths in cod4, especially if the servers full of noobs.

aimbots wont help players shoot through walls....so thats a mistake on your side...i dont know any hacks that would change the physics of the game.

pb servers are miles ahead of vac secured servers...its actually quite effective...pb normally takes screen shots of your screen (about 4 per minute but that number can be changed) then uploads them to the server so they can check for wallhacks or anything else thats running that shouldnt be.

aimbot and other hacks which are easier to spot anyway probably are left for a while so they can let it spread then ban in larger numbers
 
See people can get away with cheating on it as the people who are 1337 at it dont think it is possible and always say the person complaining about cheating is a n00b and just sukz. No one is going to report a cheat as any cheater is clearly just so good they are not cheating.

And I suck at CSS, thats why I dont play it, dont have enough interest in the game to like it, bit boring.
 
normally quite easy to spot banned a few on our servers today probably average 2 or 3 a day with blatent wallhacks aimbots most come on with saws ;)


think our server takes 200 screenshots every 30 seconds at moment.but some you wont catch and most of the good hacks are paid for and cost quite a lot of money.
 
i have seen 'wallhacks', especially on americas army, which is protected by punkbuster, once i was playing against a 99 honor person who claimed he was best in the world or something, but he was using some sort of autofire, aimbot and some wallhack, basically hiding behind the centre structure on bridge crossing and auto headshotting anyone who came in a certain range through the structure, and on AA you can't shoot through walls so i do believe they might be some such things for COD4.

i seen someone shooting the wrong way on COD4 before, his gun was pointing one way and bullets going 90* left, which is odd :confused: no game is cheatproof im afraid

really well you're lucky then, in our server we've caught quite a few cheaters and they've been banned thanks to pb which is good, it's only a matter of time before these sort of idiots get caught.

As said before, you've been lucky.
Punkbuster doesn't immediatly get all cheater,s I've been killed by this guy once who headshot 12 people in like 5 seconds and pb gave loads of warning messages like '' blabla killed blabla with a headshot from blabla yards'', the next round he was gone though.

True though, I often see noobs whining about cheating ( even about me) coz they just sucked... When the admins/regs are gone and I'm the only reg of that server, I regularly get some noob trying to kick me through votes, luckily mostly people don't agree.

COD4 is rife with aimbots & its very easy indeed to spot with stupid amount of headshots one after the other & even through walls with a RPD & robotic movement & just spectate if your not sure & you will see in no time & no PB does not catch everyone.
Just keep off the non PB servers as most cheater go for them but i still see the odd one or two on PB server.

the spectate function is a bit odd as if you use it as it says you get a wide view of battle but choose change team & click on the back tab to get the fp view.

hats not p[b its the public "free" version of a hack that gives the name of hack + the shot for advertising. mombot was the worst one.
