IDIOT on COD4

Cheaters are pretty easy to spot in COD4 IMO.. killcam usualy shows the aimbotter doing a 180 degree spin and aiming for your head in .011111111 of a second :p

I ran up behind someone once with the " Deadly Silence " and " UAV Jammer " enabled he did the above and shot me , I immediately fired off a whord of abuse in the chatbox then 2 seconds later punkbuster chucked him out the server :D

Although I have seen the same person twice in a server ( Different days ) using an aimbot , but there are no admins and he didn't get banned ! :(

Everytime someone gets wound up enough to post/whine about a cheater, the cheater wins.

Just disconnect and find a new server, or have them banned if you are the admin or know them. Don't get wound up.. it's a game.

Cheaters like this will always be an issue. I used to "work" for a site called MSX SECURITY which i'm sure a few of you will have heard of. People are willing to pay subscriptions to sites for the very purpose of not getting PunkBuster banned. The "hacks" are streamed to a users computer, which means the "hacks" are never actually on the PC for PunkBuster to detect. Punkbuster have now gone into more advanced tracking features since I left the "scene", such as memory scanning and even internet browser history tracking - if you visit PunkBuster blacklisted sites frequently, you will find yourself with a hardware ban. As I say though, the cheaters are here to stay. VAC has been by far the most secure anti-cheat due to the delay bans. Run a "hack" on your system and you could use it for a few weeks even though VAC know about it, they have to collect information on the program ;)

Just my 2p :)

If anyone gets caught cheating their cd key should get banned permanently. It annoys the hell out of me.

It does on servers using a master banlist about 8000 banned on COD4.

tbh I dont get why people get so bothered about it, the way I look at it, if they have to cheat to kill me then i've already won. Most people are paranoid that anyone with a good a score is automatically cheating, the people that go around shouting 'cheat' are more annoying that the actual cheaters.

Also gametype has an influence I would say respawn gametypes like TDM are likely to have more cheats in them, hence why I avoid TDM mostly.

Perception is that cheating is rife, find a decent server and cheating is almost none existent.

ive played from the start to the level i am at the moment (45) and havnt run into any cheats yet, hopefully never will... all games have them :(
