Sometimes when I am driving along I see a fair few people who I think should not be allowed anywhere near the road because of stupid things they are doing.

I see a black fiat punto out and about a fair bit, dangerously overtaking people, pretty chavved up car as well. I felt quite smug when I saw it surrounded by police cars last night as it had spun round doing silly speeds and slid through the central reservation on a dual carriageway.

When we were going to Switzerland a Chrysler Neon overtook us through some hatched area on a french motorway and proceeded to weave through traffic at breakneck speed. 10 minutes later we drove past the same car embedded in an embankment with the driver standing rather sheepishly beside it.

Lastly in the summer just after I moved, I saw a golf heading towards a council estate at breakneck speed (seen it about before driving like a loony), as he passed me he suddenly veered onto a grass verge almost flipping his car, rolled to a stop, waited a few moments then drove off.

Does anyone else get an immense sense of satisfaction from moments like these?

Not particularly, because its these idiots thats are driving ilegally with things such as no insurance etc !

Same in Milton Keynes - Renault 21 (I think) esate pulled level with me, full of thin be-capped townie looking guys, who looked the car over and accelerated away TOWARDS the roundabout. Got about half way around before they went sideways, ploughed the front of the car over the curbs (nice sparks) and sat blocking the roundabout

I stopped (as I couldn't get around) and just sat there on main beams and honking them :p

Spanners, the lot of them, if someone had come onto that roundabout at full whack they'd have just plouged into them.

They drove off again at silly speeds too - unfortunately I didn't get the reg :(

I was once driving down a road which runs down the sea front around here, its a 40 road, but people regularly speed.
I could see a traffic cop about 5 cars back, just behind a van. Behind me was a Ford Escort with 2 lads and 3 girls in, they were tailgating me for a good distance. Eventually on a corner they were just about to go for the overtake, then pulled back, a few seconds later he went for it.
As soon as he did the cop came flying out and caught him within seconds, the look on his face was priceless.
The road also had the no overtaking markings in the middle between both lanes.

Overtaking on solid white lines is not only stupid but extreamly dangerous, i've seen a few accidents where people thought they were optional and could only see 100m round a blind corner.

yes

i remember being tailgated by a golf on the way up to boro. I was doing 90 at the time so it was a little un-necessary.

I let him overtake anyway. A bit further up the road just as i passed a motorway junction a marked cop car came flying down. I wet meself thinking it was for me, so started to pull over. But he just carried on passed me. About 2 miles further up the mway he had pulled him over

schweet !

Mentioned this a few times...

I was behind a Clio RN with Lexus lights and large oval exhaust. I overtook him on the roundabout and backed off the throttle heading towards the next roundabout which has a 20mph limit on it and just before it because of the roadworks, (two lanes into one by use of cones).

The Clio came flying past me at about 60-70Mph (now 20Mph from 40Mph limit), cuts in front of me just before the cones and brakes hard.

We get to the roundabout he pulls away and I wait to pull onto the roundabout and glance in my rear view mirror to see a fully marked Volvo T5 police car. He follows me onto the roundabout and I just happen to be going in the same direction as the Clio which is now about 500 yards down the road and still clearly breaking the speed limit. Mr traffic cop pulls out from behind me at the first available moment and nails it after him, puts all the bells and whistles on and pulls him over!

If I hadn't had overtaken the guy none of it would have happened I think but it wasn't funny till about 5 minutes later when I couldn't stop laughing.

haha some great stories there, I really like it when these idiots get whats coming to them.

I was walking through leamington one night and a car was sat at a red light, with 2 cars behind him and then a police car. He had his bass kicking and his windows down, AFAIK it was a 1.2 clio - nice!

Anyway, as the lights when amber he nailed the throttle and deliberately dropped the clutch infront of a group of girls waiting to cross, his wheels span (if only for a half a second or so - only a 1.2 after all!) and immedietly the police car puts on his lights + siren, pulls out the queue, rounds the two cars and pulls the guy over 50 yards down the road.

I couldnt help but giggle to myself.
