idiots guide to setting up active directory

does anyone know a site address were i can get some guides on setting up active directory isa and domains?
i am setting these up on my server at home and am stuck at the point where i join a pc to the domain, it cannot find the controller

I'd say buy a good book with the basics of AD. Maybe a book on Windows 2003 as well.

bit overkill for home but anyway. you'll need to dcpromo your server to be a domain controller if you haven't done so already. I've used ISA in a few places and never been that impressed by it, there are better firewalls available. have a look at http://www.isaserver.org/ http://www.windowsnetworking.com/ may also be worth a look.

i know it is definately overkill, i normally just use it for a file server and am just interested in knowing what else it can do and the best place is at home
