Bah twas on the last level of some chapter on L4D (started from the lobby) when the group's friend apparently is ready to play so they just vote kick me off to make room for him! I honestly don't remember the last time I was so annoyed with a lack of common courtesy due to the anonymity of the internet.

At least I managed to execute 2 of them but still annoyed :/
 
I think the movie would be good if it was a British director - If we don't do anything right, at least we know we make a good horror film ;)

Heh we have voted a random from the server to make room for a friend before, but not if they were in the game from the very beginning that is a bit harsh, as long as you weren't being a n00b that is ;)

Nothing wrong with that, as none of us can host with decent pings and we can't privately host a game it seems, (I guess being in a steam group = everyone in it = friends..) so our 4th person was a few seconds late and someone joined.

Nothing wrong kicking him, stop crying and join another server, we want, let me restate WE wanted to play as a group of 4 friends.

Not 3 friends and a random with the 4th being left out.

I confess, first time I completed Dead Air on expert was with 2 friends and a random, as the plane was taking off we all got on and I tk'd the random. It felt good.

You could at least have read through my post before commenting :/ We had all played from the lobby through to the final level on expert (easily an hour of gameplay) and I was vote kicked so their mate could join. I can't imagine anyone would think that is reasonable....hell im still a bit angry

Iv got no problems with being kicked from a lobby...although if you notice there is the option to only let friends join your game!
 
Many, many moons ago I used to enjoy playing Day of Defeat as a "spy". I would hide in a corner near the start, and wait for a pair of teammates to walk by. I would then shoot one of them in the arse. Naturally the victim would assume that the guy beside him did it so would retaliate. Inevitably they would end up teamkilling each other repeatedly, going crazy on their microphones and getting banned from the server.

I was only a kid at the time but boy did it give me a good laugh! :D

Especially if they were Germans. :p

I felt completely vindicated in doing this....they ruined my game, the very least I could do was to damage theirs. As much as people like to be overly critical on 'internetz' forums I think most people here would have behaved in exactly the same way.

But thanks for the criticism

I wouldn't personally see L4D as a game that you are very likely to see TKing in (unless the people that are TKed are complete ****wits as per my original post) due to the fact that if one person is dead then its one less person to kill the horde!

edit - the only time people have shot me, they have generally apologised and vice versa. In general the player base is fairly mature
