This REALLY boils me.

Last night my dad had to park his car up at his mum in laws (A road with a load of Terraced houses and my Nans bungalow) beacuse he was out in Rugeley and obviously couldn't use his car till the morning.. he left it somewhere easy to get to, and pretty safe (or so we thought, was literally 10m from my Nans front door)

Some little ****** has gone and reversed straight into his front bumper, which in turn has forced the headlight inside the bonnet and cracked the front bumper and caused quite a bit of visual damage. And have done a runner.

He's not so bothered beacause its his company 118d (All the M Sport Trim) but you would honestly think they would leave something or make an attempt to contact him by waiting.. but no such luck. A little lad bless him came and told my Nan, but she didnt think to take his reg.. and 30 seconds later he did a runner.

Rant over.

If it was anything other than a 1 Series you'd have my sympathy over the car.... instead, I just fully agree that that incredibly annoying! Atleast its a company car though...

I call his car a shoe as he calls mine a girls car.

So I agree :D

I wouldn't. Look at it from their prospective-

Own up and lose 2 years no claims and have a fault claim on your insurance for 3-5 years, plus if they have TPFT still have to pay out for your repairs

or

Swift exit. No loss of NCD, no fault claim against you and if you have TPFT, no extra cost to yourself...

thus perpetuating the higher insurance costs.. it's this attitude that contributes to high insurance costs in the first place

I never say it didn't, I was saying that is how it is from their perspective, I didn't say it was right did I?

Also just incase you didn't read the line that I was quoting I was saying I wouldn't think that someone would stop or leave contact details, not that I wouldn't do so myself.

Given the situation, i bet half of us would do the same thing, especially the younger drivers where insurance is stupid enough as it is.

sad, but true.
