The alternator on my Escort gave up the ghost on wednesday so got car onto a flat bed and dropped of at my local repairer, collected the car last night with new alternator and belt fitted but the idle speed is constantly dropping to around 500 revs and nearly cutting out.
Is there any reason an alternator replacement could cause this?
