idle temps on core i3

hello guys and happy new year

so i was wondering what are these temps like?
core i3 540 with cooler in sig with mx-4 paste.
i get max of 37 idle in HWmonitor and around the 60s on load using prime or intelburntest.

are these good temps for the stock speeds of the i3 540 with the spec posted in sig?

also is there a way i can get some software to control the PWM fan on my cooler?

Yep, about right. BIOS should have some fan settings in the hardware monitoring page to control fan speeds.

sorry just realised those temps are at 3.2ghz as my motherboard came with 3 preset oc profles that were 3.2ghz 3.4ghz and 3.6ghz and i dont want to go any higher because of risk of me breaking it by trying to get it to stupid speeds. so those temps are good for 3.2?

You could easily get 4ghz 69oC 100% load

Same processor here and cooler and idling at 33c and about 65c under load.

This is with the processor running at 3.68Ghz v1.3

So your temps seem perfectly normal.
