hi guys just built my new system comprising ......
i7 930
asus rampage 3 extreme
patriot viper ddr3 1600mhz
prolimatech meghelems and 2 akasa 1900rpm fans
im getting these temps at IDLE in everest ultimate edition ....
cpu - 45
core 1- 37
core 2- 38
core 3- 41
core 4- 36
the cpu temp seems a little high do you think ? its not overclocked yet ...im lookin to get it to 4ghz
dont understand why the cpu temp seems higher than the core temps .......i built the system myself and used artic silver 5 .....i used a line of the artic silver on the cpu and put ther cooler on and gave it a little twist to move the thermal compound around on the cpu as it says in the artic silver 5 directions on the web .......is this the best way .... ive always used this method before ? do you think i should redo the thermal compound and refit the cooler
