Had to install this as my refurb H100 started to leak!

with the hydro 100 , fans set to high on the pump I was idling at around 30 degrees, after installing the h70 I am idling at 40-50!

Part of the problem is I have is I am not able to get all fans running at full speed using the motherboard headers. Currently using the performance Corsair SP120s on the rad, using the H70 pump to control the speed is useless so I have connected them to the m/b headers and the pump to CPU_Opt, using as gigabyte x87x-ud5h. Using gigabyte smart fan tool works on extreme, but the minute you exit they default back to stock. Tried using the BIOS to set them but nothing changes. Hopefully will only be using this setup for a couple of weeks until my h100 comes back from Corsair

Any suggestions please?

Is this a new H70 cooler? If this is something you have kept as a back up cooler, then make sure that you have properly seated the pump. I'd also check if you a good contact between the cold plate and CPU. What about the thermal paste? did you clean off the old one before re applying it?

If you've done all suitable approach, then this may suggest that it is simply your CPU is overclocked and has caused the CPU temp to go up.

Post your ticket # regarding your H100 RMA, and I'll see that it gets processed right away.
