Hi All i,m looking at changing my isp ,i have looked at UKFSN & Aquiss who both look great ,and are high on the isp lists ,but i,ve seen this isp which is in my hometown ,its http://www.idnet.net/ does it make any difference if your isp is in your hometown ,or not ? and does anyone know anything about 'Id net ? :confused:

yes this is what i thought too,just wanted a second view ,so do u or anyone know about Idnet isp ? website looks good ,plus theres no contention on there services,they seem not to over subscribe ? :confused:
 
I'm with them at home - fantastic service. Tech support on a local number, answer quickly, know what they're talking about.

The broadband itself is reliable and pretty speedy.

Only downside is the relatively small cap for the price.

csmager got it spot on :) customer serice is amazing, they are very knowledgable.

I love IDNet and will probably stay with them for the forseeable future.

sounds good ,but do they throttle p2p ? ,as i,m on Nildram and its painful on p2p :confused: !
 
I'm on the ADSL Home Supermax package I think it's called, with a bit extra cap, at 60Gb plus some of that on off peak times.

It also has extra upload speed. I live quite close to the exchange and I get more or less 8 med down (obviously not the exact speed but pretty much max) and I also get 850 ish Kbps upload also.

is that UKFSN or IDNET your on ? sorry got a bit mixed up :eek:

sounds good ,must say i,m slightly bias about them as they are based in Letchworth ,which is where i live ,i know the building thay are based in ,its an old ladies clothing factory ,its a listed building too ! very small outfit,but highly knowledgable guys,into web design also ;)
 
Yay IDNet's new central pipe should be up and running in the next few days according to news from them on their forums.

They've admitted hteir central sometimes near reaches capacity typically 8pm - 11pm but least they are doing sokmething about it which is nice :)
