Hi,

So my parents just brought a new laptop with windows 8.

They wanted to top up gas and electric with the british gas usb top up.

However it seems they only support win7 32bit!?! and IE 8!
Right clicking the 32bit exe in program does not give me the option to run in win7 mode as other programs do.

I tried adding the website to compatibility list (I think that's more for older versions of IE)

Aside from installing windows 7 in a virtual machine there must be an easy round this?

This is the error...

Sorry, system not supported

Hi,

It needs to be IE

The same error gets thrown up on firefox/chrome (i use frirefox normally).

Cant believe they dont support win8/IE10 there not exactly legacy bit of kit!

they do run on win 7 64bit and IE9 as I use them on my desktop.
they just haven't updated there software to run with win 8 and IE10 yet, im sure there working on it.

Hi a wee bit tricky, but press f12 when on web page to take you in to compatibility mode then enter tools , change user agent string to IE9, then Browser mode:IE10 change to Internet Explorer 9, finally Document Mode to IE9 standards or IE7 standards (Page default) that should allow you to login and continue with payment.

As I said bit tricky.

tried this and it did get me further on there site but at the final stage where you put the amount to pay it wont go any further and just say win 8 not supported.
it not a big problem to me as I still have my win 7 desktop upstairs
