Hi guys sorry if this has been asked allready but i cant find this question listed. Is it possible to remove or turn off permenantly inprivate browsing. Dont want it on kids comp thanks guys....

This is taken from another forum but seems to have done the trick. You will need at least XP Pro and involved editing the local group policy setting. Now usually editing group policy means it disables said feature for all users in that group if the PC is part of a domain network. I'm not sure how it will affect other users on the PC. You might need to log into each account and change the settings or it might just work for all users.

Click Start, Run. Type GPEDIT.MSC and hit ENTER

Go to:
User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Internet Explorer / InPrivate

Turn off InPrivate Browsing:

This policy setting allows you to disable the InPrivate Browsing feature.
InPrivate Browsing prevents Internet Explorer from storing data about a user's browsing session. This includes cookies, temporary Internet files, history, and other data.

If you enable this policy setting, InPrivate Browsing will be disabled.

If you disable this policy setting, InPrivate Browsing will be available for use.

If you do not configure this setting, InPrivate Browsing can be turned on or off through the registry.

It's a user config setting so likely it'll only affect the user currently logged in as it's a local policy and not a domain group policy setting.
