IE keeps just randomly shutting

Hi,
A colleague at work has told me that their internet explorer just keeps randomly closing. It doesn't matter what they're doing or what sites they're on it just it from time to time.

Any ideas of what this could be?

It's version 6 mate, and it's really frustrating.

I had a colleague bring her laptop in for me to look at with a similar sounding problem. I tried to reinstall Java incase it was corrupt. In the end, I removed Google Toolbar and everything went OK. Never had liked anything installed inside Explorer.

Might also be worth updating Windows and Explorer. Better to be safe!

Had a similar problem. Reinstalled Windows Media Player and all was well. Odd.

I get that at collage with IE6.

Try disabling all add-ons and seeing if that fixes it. I'd guess something like Java being a gay but who knows
