IE Transparency Text Issues

Hi Guys

I'm fading a div with Javascript. All the other browsers are fine but on IE7 as the larger text inside the div starts to fade it goes really aliased at the edges, horrible and jagged and never recovers?

All down to IE being generally **** at everything.

It wasn't jquery but that sites suggestion of adding a color to the background sorted it.
