IE vs ALL

is it me with my mac blinkers on, or is it a case that not only do you get all the development headaches with IE, the sites even when laid out perfectly still don't look as good? the font look all spindly and things just don't render as nice...

Does anyone else think this or do you reckon its just down to personal pref?

Safari on Windows looks awful, it looks fine on a Mac.

IE definitely renders things the worse. Even Firefox falls down sometimes (particularly with displaying resized images). Chrome seems to be the best overall, though I am bias

Fonts do render a lot better on macs - their smoothing is much clearer than crappy cleartype.

I also think part of it is down to the fact that Mac displays are nicer than 80% of the monitors available for PC.

Each browser will render everything *slightly* differently (in some cases not so slightly ¬_¬) even the same browser on different Operating Systems will be different. Perosnlly Chrome on a Mac is my fav.
