I have my default web browser set to Google Chrome. Is there anyway of setting windows live messenger to open email in IE auto without setting all apps to use IE default keeping Chrome as default?

Can not be done as far as I know, I just tried it with Windows 7 using the Default Programs feature and it only allows you to set the app for file types and protocols. So it only allows you to set one application for HTTP.

I don't think there is a way to do this. But curious why you want to open email in IE & not Chrome?

Listen to this mans question. The auto sign in component works in Chrome so why IE?

You like mediocre failed browsers? :p

auto sign in, is that an add on or saving my addy and password within Chrome itself?

thanks for trying. bit strange i would have thought this would be tweaked already to have choices of which proggy opens via which browser or isn't it as simple as that.

No you only set the default browser which opens for everything, you can't be that specific I'm afraid (to the best of my know how anyway).
