IE6 on vista...

Some info here

you could run a virtual machine with a different OS on it?

Why would you want to anyway, IE7 is much better than IE6.

There are still some sites that don't like IE7 and will only run on IE6 (or sometimes Opera/Firefox in IE6 compatibility modes!)

Aaah, I see, try some more goooogling, found some sites that gave some hints on how to do it on one OS. Tricky though.

bingo. A VM is not practical really. This machine only has 1GB ram in it, running IE, FF, dreamweaver and notepad++ is enough without adding virtual machines.

Spent hours yesterday fixing the css on a site to work in IE6, I never knew there was anything wrong with it, worked fine in IE7 and FF. Obviously will want to cover opera and safari too but that can wait, IE6 has still got to be the most popular browser.
