IE7 annoyances

Can any on e help me with this.

It seems that some times when I use the backspace key on my keyboard, my IE goes back a page. Very annoying if i ma entering anything into a forum post and need to change things.

Also, how do i stop IE from opening up a new window when i click on a link? I just want it to open a new tab in the same window.

Tools>Options

Then a bit near the bottom called Tabs, click on Settings there then I think its the two sections at the bottom asking how to react when a pop up is encountered and the bit below it too.

click wheel on mouse, opens new window in a tab

Backspace makes IE go back a page when you are not entering text. Like most browsers you can open links in a new tab with middle mouse button/wheel click.
