IE7 Beta 2

Can I kiss goodbye to IE6 if I install this? actually not a bad thing as I currently use Firefox.

Is there a an expiry date for this release? ie. will it cease to function after a certain date?

no there is no expire on it and also you can uninstall it in the add remove just click show updates and it will be there.

I was having problems with desktop properties / changing backgrounds and screensaver causing crashes with the previous version installed. This was happening on two PCs. This newer release has solved those issues for me.

yeah i'd like to know this also, would like to install it but dont wanna have to have IE6 and IE7 if its not completely stable yet

Seems a bit quicker than the last. Not noticed many other changes though. Will they ever give me the option of new tabs showing the current page when you open them?!

I've just installed it. Looks good so far.

I've one question though. Am i able to open a site from my favourites in another tab? Nothing happens when i middle mouse click on one.

Layout or anything changed since beta 1?

Very tempted to reinstall it (i did have IE 7 BETA 1 but uninstalled - didn't wanna risk it) - might just wait till final release. Shouldn't be too long now

Just checked out the preview, tis looking very nice. Might give it a go.,

Craig.

You can also uninstall this and go back to IE6 :)

Personally I find it good, very good. It's fast and simple, and once this comes out I really can't see people wanting to switch to Firefox from it (although people already with Firefox will probably want to stay), judging from the way Firefox is going memory/general system resources wise.

It works when i use the 'Favourites Center' on the left. I'd previously tried using the favourites from the classic menu bar. :o

The home, refresh and stop icons are all over the place and i can't seem to move them. That isn't good!

Other than that, i will be sticking with it.
