IE7 keeps crashing in XP

IE keeps crashing on me. It seems to happen if I click a link on a page which opens in a new window. The new window works fine, but the original window just hangs.

Here's what Event Viewer says:

23:29:50 Application Error: "Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16441, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 7.0.6000.16441, fault address 0x000985aa."

23:29:54 Application Error: "Fault bucket 426257688."

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I sometimes also get the fault bucket 426257688 instead of the other one I posted.

I'm using AntiVir, which has been fine for a year or so. The crashes only started in the past month.
