IE7 Not Opening Intranet Word docs?

If I click on a hyper link that should open a word/excel document I just get a small x in a box in the top left hand corner?

Searched the web but can't seem to pin point it?

Anyone seen this or no a fix please?

Haven't had this problem, but I haven't opened a word file etc for a long time, let me test...


EDIT: just checked, on opening it opens a blanc page, whenafter it starts word2007 and opens the file in that (not in iexplorer 7 window)

So, looks like it, iexplorer cant do it anymore? :(

Only thing you can do since your office app doesnt start is right click the hyperlink, and select save as, to download the file 1st onto your hdd...
