Hey guys,

I've been having this problem for a few weeks now, where i go to any random website and it just freezes and stops responding. It doesn't descriminate, it can be anything from my favourites, this forum, anything.

I've formatted my hard drives and reinstalled Vista (i was meaning to do this before the problems anyway) and it still happens all the time.

Anyone got any idea's? :(

No "Use this browser instead" comments please, i like to fix problems not leave them.

Thanks.

try changing the temp files cache to 250 mb....worked for me with vista....options, browsing history, settings, disk space to use...change to 250.....read somewhere that other people had same problem....this was one of the solutions.

Fix didnt work for me, just had a page freeze

I think this only started when adobe updated to version 10 of its player,

Seems strange how its the same on two seperate pc's though and most of you here. Its either a plugin gone bad or my realtek network drivers which i have the same on both pc's

And both PC's have NOD32 installed on Vista 64 if it helps

Yeah i have NOD32 installed as well, i also have done a checkdisk which was fine.

I'm not sure about adobe 10 being the cause, but perhaps it could be.

And yes Burnsy my pc's 100% up to date :)

Well if the fix is to use a different browser, and I know it does fix it(same problem with IE, fine with Firefox).
Usually my problems occur with banner adds loading, slowing the system down, and suddenly it will run and the page will go to one of the banner add pages.

i have had this problem too for about a month
it looks like a bad update to me, as it was fine before
guess we need to wait for M$ to fix it with another update
firefox isn't an option, i don't like it

There was an issue a month or so ago with Spybot. They quickly found the problem and released a fix though. Worth checking if you have it installed.

Inet explorer has a rather widespread bug atm, for me and a lot of others it only started occuring after a windows update and updating flash.

I just put up with it :) lol
