The UI is still not finished in this Beta 2 Preview so with any luck the final version won't have such a steep "relearning curve"

To be honest I think they're going to drag this one out, possibly all the way till just before Vista. I'm guessing it'll be a Q2-Q3 launch.

Queue a load of bad press. Microsoft just can't win can they? They release a Beta Preview for web developers only and people are already picking apart the unfinished code.

I share your view too. The UI is badly lacking in customisability. But still, they've said the user experience "is not done" so we just have to play the waiting game!

This is a Beta 2 _Preview_ release. The proper Beta 2 should work on OSes other than just XP SP2. The reason they released it is to get feedback from web developers.
