hey ive just upgraded to IE8 and now some websites dont work :(

i keep getting "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
wiht the diagnose problme button and it says its not available, but its usualyl after ive just been browsing on it, like it did it on one of my clan forums i was browsing fine, went to post a thread then it came up with that page then none of the site worked :( anyone else getting this problem? is rather annoying when trying to organise events and matches :(

Are you running Windows 7? Are you on a wireless network?

I ask because I am on Windows 7 and connected via wireless and I was getting this quite a lot. I was getting a lot of packet loss during games and it was pretty obvious that my wireless connection, although with great signal and not dropping, was causing problems.

Turns out that my Linksys PCI wireless adapter was the problem and the default drivers installed by Windows 7 were causing an issue. I manually installed some other Ralink drivers and it seems to have fixed the packet loss in games and the slowness and "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" messages. I don't get these messages now (perhaps once in a blue moon if the website itself is having problems)

Sasso,

Hi, my name’s Feran and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to provide assistance and help answer questions people might have about Internet Explorer.

Have you tried using the Compatibility View feature included in IE8? It's a broken page icon located next to the refresh button on the toolbar. Clicking the icon may help resolve your issue.

I hope this helps!
Feran,
Internet Explorer Outreach Team
