IE8 not removing address bar history

I gave IE9 a whirl recently, quite liked it, but i noticed the address bar history was not being removed (even though it was being cleared in the Favourites/History tab bit). So i removed IE9, and now in IE8 it still remains, history simply isnt being deleted in the address bar. Any ideas how to fix it ? CCleaner didnt do it.

Also, clicking a favourite doesnt seem to get an updated page anymore, just the last known "state" of the page from when i last visited, so i have to manually refresh myself. A little annoyance but another oddity.

Any clues ?

This happened to me (and infact I made a thread about it with no real replies). It's even more annoying now too, it doesn't save any of my login details (in IE 8) so every time I come on here I have to login (as well as all other sites). Even though my Ccleaner is only supposed to delete history and temp internet files it also deletes my cookies and I have to sign in again...

Rather annoying to say the least...

I don't use IE, but can you create another profile like in FF?

Deselect cookies?

The latest version added an intelligent cookie detection feature.

Unfortunately it's not that simple.
