IE8 not saving passwords etc.

hi im using win 7,with IE8 had this problem from day 1 really, where when system is shut down,reboot when using IE8 none of my passwords or usernames save,and everytime i log into forums,facebook etc i have to input this data every single time is there a way round this?

It happens to me as well.
I couldn't find a fix so just installed google chrome its faster as well.
Just a shame that it does not have the same effect where you hover your mouse button over the icon in the start menu and it shows you all the websites you have open
