Hi all

ever since updating to IE8 2 days ago i cant get normal internet explorer to open, when i click on the icon it just hangs and doesnt open.

the only way i have been able to get on the net is to use IE 64 bit. which is all well and good but i cant use flash player as its not compatible with 64bit IE.

does anyone else have this problem with IE8? or does anyone know how to fix it?

thanks

Loki

Just installed IE8 - seems soooo much sloowweeeerrrrr?
I'm having the same problem, its takes a good 5 seconds to even open having clicked the icon, then another few seconds at least to load the homepage.

IE7 did the lot in a second or so.

Is it easy enough to go back to IE7?

Yep same problem plus I cannot open more than 7 pages at a time. Seems to be a common problem from searches so i'm downloading firefox as i type.

I never really got on with Firefox, IE7 was fine for me so I've gone back to that until they've ironed out the problems with IE8.

Does make you wonder how it made it through testing with such an obvious flaw though...

Tabs are just as bad too.

In Vista to remove: Control Panel > Programs & Features > View Installed Updates and select it from there for uninstallation.
