IE8 tab limit

Running IE8 on XP 64-bit and i've found a strange problem. If I open maybe 4, 5, 6 tabs (not consistant) and then every tab after that the tab opens but the webpage wont it just sits there loading. If I hit refresh nothing happens until I close the window or close down some tabs and then i'm able to start opening more tabs until I reach this limit again. This doesnt happen in Firefox or with IE8 on my XP 32-bit computer.

Nope I've had 9-10 open and its fine.

opened 20 and it was fine here

yea i just tryed (vista ultimate 64) and got 20 open ok ..

but ie8 does seem like a downgrade to me , its a lot slower when opening a new tab and for some reason it stops u using the original tab for a few seconds while it farts about..

bad form microsoft...bad

it seems to be more of a bug or conflict somewhere as it only happens on this system

you using Spybot - Search & Destroy? there a problem with that and IE8 that slows the tabs opening, i stopped Spybots immunise and it sorted the problem
