Hi

Has anyone had an issues trying to connect to a site hosted on a 2003 box?

When i try and connect it should take my domain username and password and log me right in. I have checked all the settings for auto login from domain account and they are fine and also added it into the trusted site, with no joy at all.

Any one got any ideas?

We have users at work running IE8 and Win 7 and they can connect to services running on 2003 boxes just the same as our XP and Vista users. We run a SharePoint 2.0 intranet site at work and this functions just fine :)

Is the problem simply that it doesn't log you in and asks for username/password all the time, if you specify credentials for an admin on the server does it work? also have you confirmed if this is a Win 7, IE8 problem, or is it only when both are used together?

I'd also look at your security settings on IE - if these are dictated by a group policy they could be set to high. By default they are set as high anyway (so again perhaps knock these to low, does it work? if so then set it back to high and then go through what you need to get it to work).

Yeah it defo a windows 7 issues. Entering the username and password, doesn't work and even locks my account out while its at it.

Checked using the admin username and password and that doesn't work either.

I dont have any group polices applied to my account at all.
