IE8 won't remember passwords/logon details

Hey Guys

Has anyone noticed that IE8 has started to not save passwords and login details for sites even though it used to and that all the options are setup to save this info?

I've noticed it's started happening on a few PC's here at work, but only some. My PC is fine and has always saved passwords in IE 7 and 8 but other peoples machines seem to have stopped doing this and just forgetting all passwords?

Any idea's on how to fix it?

No idea. It seems like its quite a big problem if you google it.

I have the same problem occuring. I have still to find the solution

Its also dammed annoying. So much that I might move to FF 3.6 instead.

Well the main issue for us was that windows/IE wasn't saving the login details for our SharePoint site thats hosted on a different domain that we use as an intranet.

I think I've just found a solution to this issue:

Navigate to said SharePoint site and login, ticking the box to remember the password, then going to Tool - Internet Options - Security Tab - click Local Intranet then click on Sites. In the new window that opens click Advanced and then Add. This will add the current site you've loaded (in our case, the SharePoint site). OK everything and restart IE, now it doesnt prompt to enter a password and does seem to actually save the password

Not sure this is really a solution for other websites though
