I wonder if anyone recognises this, or can tell me what's causing it...
I use IE8 and have the status bar on view. This has a zoom button at the right hand side.
When I go to Facebook, the zoom button disappears once the page has loaded. Zoom still works from the menu or using the keyboard shortcuts.
Cnet.com also does this (but Cnet.co.uk doesn't!). Most websites don't do this, I just noticed it with Facebook and Cnet.
It's the zoom button that disappears; the space where it appears is still there but empty. The status bar is still there, as are the other things like the InPrivate button.
I've recently been using a user-agent string changer which I guess was asking for trouble. Could that be it? I uninstalled it but the zoom button didn't return...
