I've been trying to get Dirt 3 working, but it just wouldn't start up. After some browsing, I've narrowed down the problem to GFWL not starting up. And after trying to get that working, I've discovered that IE isn't properly working either. I'm running IE9, but have no idea how long this issue has been going on for, as I use waterfox and sometimes chrome for my browsing.

Anyway, initially I was going to say that IE9 wasn't connecting to any web pages at all, but as I was writing this post, it managed to load my homepage (google), and I have it trying to load another page to see if that was a one off or if it really is a problem. But in the past 5 minutes it has simply say on the google page, the tab its loading says microsoft.com, which is where I told it to load, and it has the circular loading thing, so it is doing something, but not much.

Waterfox, and pretty much everything else on my computer, such as skype, are working fine, so its not an internet issue, it seems purely to revolve around IE, which explains why the gfwl client kept timing out when I tried to connect it.

Also, in has just taken 3 minutes to load the tab name! Anyway, is there anything at all that can be done to get IE working, so I can play my game? D:

Edit: restarted and IE is now happily working. And discovered that while I can sign into hotmail using a password containing <>& and other symbols, gfwl does not allow you to use those symbols, which is damn stupid since its the same login and password for both sites >_>
