iexplorer8 problem

running windows 7 and ie8, the page/safety/tools drop down menues have most of the options grayed out and i cant add or change my favorites.

this some kind of safety feature or has something gone wrong?

Have you tried reinstalling IE8, or using the microsoft update I know when I installed 7 there was a few updates for it IE8. other than that im not sure I removed IE8 in favour of firefox.

sorted it, a restart fixed it, never think of the simplest things

Nope, lol. The amount of times I've pulled my hair out to find it only needs rebooting :/

Restart might be one of the bluntest tools in the box but when time is of the essence its effective at least.
