If an iPhone were to come from Germany what network would it be on?

either way it'd be a german one so locking would be to that country, don't expect a tmobile german one to work on tmobile here.

If I take my T-Mobile phone there it works there so why not the other way round?

But it is still T-Mobile?

Its unlockable anyway so if it doesn't work it doesn't really matter. Be nice to have a working non unlocked one though.

T-Mobile Germany has a different mobile network identifier to T-Mobile UK, a phone locked to T-Mobile UK won't work with a T-Mobile Germany SIM in it and vice versa.
