.......and their new card costs (I believe) more than any current Nvidia (not been studying, still reeling from reading an ATI price that is £LOL )............Is anyone else PETRIFIED at the thought of what the green boys' next offering is going to cost?

"I'd like an Nvidia GTX350 please",

"certainly, and will you be trading in your house or your granny sir?"

To be fair ATI released the 5870 at £300, if Nvidia were releasing the latest undisputed fastest single GPU solution I am quite sure it would have been a lot more than £300

Nvidia would have been like £400 for a single top end card, £650 for that card in dual format.

Having said that, the best options right now are to buy one or two 5770s or 5850s. 5870 and up arent meant to be for the mainstream, just as much at the Intel I7 965 extreme edition isnt either.

Most people will choose to buy the lowest end CPU in the latest range (I7 920 or I5 750), and it makes just as much sense with graphics cards as well to go with the £100-200 offerings, unless you are rich enough to pay for the top end stuff.
