I was wandering if computer enthusiasts were more like car enthusiasts what would out Pc rigs be like? and yes i have way too much free time on my hands but hey its the easter holidays! So back to the point would we enjoy having super loud cooling fans? would we have useless pieces of metal sticking out of our cases to improve aerodynamics? what do you guys think? This is prob in the wrong part of the forum but i wasnt sure where to put my useless rant :D

No competitors, read the FAQ! FF.
Read the faq, they aren't competitors.

We have overclocking, they have nitrous.
Both use cathodes.
Both like putting funky holes in things.
They improve aero-dynamics, we improve airflow.

The two are very similar. Thats why we have a very active motors forum.

That looks awesome

Computer modding seems to be what people do before they start getting into car modding. I know loads of people who used to be into the whole computer thing, but then left it alone to persue either house pimping or car modding.

Both take a similar mind i guess, hence the active motors forum (as already said)

My minds kinda gone from computers, onto cars, and now onto houses with a mix of cars.

one of my favourites.... wtf is house pimping by the way?
Fancy name for DIY for people too old to mod and be boy racers...? ;)

I'm not a fan of game themed mods, prefer shiny clean practical mods, but i respect them for the skill involved.

aaah lol...

and yeah, personally i would never do any sort of gaming mods to my pc... i'd hate it 1 or 2 years down the line and suddenly "Doom 4 coming soon!" whoops... time to spend another year building a pc case again... but still ma-hoo-sive skill to do some of the gaming ones that have been done! :)

I've tried to mod both my cases now, and i haven't.

I decided not the mod the first one because i was worried about damaging it and realised i wanted a bigger case. Then i got a bigger case and decided it was too expensive to cut holes in.

This summer i aim to build my own aluminium case, its something i've been wanting to do for ages. If only it was easier...

I'd like to be able to design it myself and get it professionally built, or sell it to a case company perhaps. I can dream.

Edit:
Since when have bit-tech forums been competitors?
Or the other ones i linked to for that matter?
Thats out of order.
