If Halflife 3 was linux exclusive would you change OS?

Neah - fed up of waiting for these 'quick release episodic games' that was being promised at the time.

They should have finished HL2 series now rather than kept it hanging on (by that I mean concluded it).

Yes but only because I want to get my Linux hat out again (it's been 3 years now after getting a mac) just to mix Linux and OsX :D

And I want to see the end of HL...
 
Since Steam is on Mac, if HL3 was Mac exclusive would you buy a Mac just to play it?

I guess u would just dual boot with osx.

It's easy and pretty quick, should take a couple of hours ish with a good internet connection. It saves time overall as you don't have to deal with bi-annual releases like ubuntu.

Not so sure about the 'easy' part with the removal of AIF. It's not impossible, but it's definitely harder. Can't attest for speed either since i haven't actually run through it myself yet. Would still say Mint for a Linux newbie.
 
I wouldn't switch just for one game but if I had to for steam then I probaly would as I'm so used to using steam I don't know if I could go back to the pre steam days. :p
