That shouldnt cost me any money should it?

As its not actually using my 3 network data at all.

Just want to confirm this because I heard Iphones carry tethering charges or something and Im just worried ill get stung (although im almost sure it wouldnt affect wifi)

Do you not tether it through the wifi, making such a thing pointless . . . . Usually you can only connect to one wifi at a time anyway.

Nah, you can tether your wifi connection through USB or Bluetooth

If you're using wifi rather than data then you won't be charged

I dont have a wireless card in my desktop so I was connecting the Iphone to the WIFI and then just tethering it to the PC, (well its my girlfriends Iphone)...

We been using it like this a while but then today she got a text from 3 saying she had used her monthly limit of data. This came through while I was actually browsing on desktop. Iphone was still connected to wifi though, Im thinking maybe the wifi dropped out and I didnt realise.

Yeah I don't think you can share the wifi connection to another device.

It would need two wifi connections surely? Then it would need to bridge them in some way.

It seems like you may have been using your data allowance.

He doesn't want to share wifi via wifi, why would he need to be able to have 2 wifi connections?
