My iMac is reaching over 3 years old and I have never done a Erase and Reinstall on it so I have upgraded OS over the years and added and deleted apps etc. Photo editing etc.

But today I have though about over the weekend doing a Erase and a Refresh install of Maverick and apps I have settled on. Will this make it speedy again as this has started to slow a bit now. Not very slow but a tag slow. Never know a Reinstall make be just the same speed just wondering what do I expect??

I can't believe it as if this as a PC i be formatting it every 6 month as that what I had to do when i was in the dark side....
 
Just wondering would I actually see a speed increase or it my mind playing me up in thinking the iMac has slow down?? I don't want to go through all the hassle and don't see a difference.

Also am I right it no good restoring from Time Machine after as it just put the computer back to how it was?
 
Well Folks I have just finish putting Maverick on and installed software I want back on... Not yet put the photos and Documents back yet but so far WOW i see a different
