what funtionality on the SKY+ box will i lose?
Can i still use the SKY+ box to record and so on?

Hmm i thought it would retain the basic recording functions, looks like i would have been better off getting a non SKY hard disk recorder 
So its either all or nothing, SKY really does suck sometimes.
