best to get one that uses the universal docking system.
then you just need the adaptor for your model ipod. Means you can always upgrade as well. Because if you dont get one that takes the universal adaptors, your device is defunct if you want a new ipod / iphone that doesnt use the existing dock connector.
Also might I add I recently found out that my iPod Touch 2g fits almost perfectly in the iPhone 3G dock I have. The iPhone dock is like £15 cheaper as well so its a no brainer really.
