Im getting bulled in the job Ive been at for the last 7 months.... and poor pay of £12000. I want to resign on monday, can I still sign on to Job seackers allowance? Someone told me that I cant as they will only give it to you if you get sacked?? Im only looking to be on it less than 2 weeks so I can find something better.

I have come across a case where an individual left employment due to health and safety reasons. I do not beleive he was witheld JSA as a consequence. I don't know how bullying would work though?

file an official complaint

see what happens

if they do not change anything or try to push you out then quit and go to a tribuneral for constructive dismissal

if you just quit i dont think you will get any handouts

Go for constructive dismissal. A friend of mine is going through the proceedings currently. If successfully you will qualify for JSA and also receive severance pay. Plus you may get lucky and the company will settle out of court.

You will need evidence of it though so lodge a complaint before seeing a solicitor.

If you are on good terms with your boss tell him you arent happy and want out (state your bullying) and could he make it look like you were laid off so then you can claim jsa whilst looking for another job.

You could also just go on the sick,go to the docs claiming stress / depression resulting from the bullying at work.Sooner or later work will take it serious and could offer you the way out that you want.

Do this if the problem is them trying to make your job unbearable so you quit and you can't resolve the problem first.
