if you got the money then got for E6600 and get the other parts recommended by hardc0re_tid you get over 3ghz on air EASY and beat any stock CPU that you can from shops!

if you go for the 6300 youll have a higher clock speed than a 6600 at stock in a matter of minutes.

some people on here are 'annoyed' that it didnt take longer to get a high overclock than it did on some of the other processors out there.

this was my first time overclocking, there are many people on here than can help out, im sure you know anyway.

You wont have issues, theres loads of help in this forum to help you overclock in no time. I have an e6300/DS3/2GB Geil 6400 and it was my first time overclocking and now im at 3.2ghz :) All from reading the posts in this great forum.

Do you think the stock cooler would be ok for 2.5ghz? I'm using a Lian-Li V1000B+ so it's a decent case.
