If i were to upgrade for RAM

I've got 8GB ram atm..was thinking about going to 16...although does it have to be the same brand and specs as my current? Or can it be mixed?

Initially I tried www.downloadmoreram.com ..but it failed

What do you use your system for? For gaming and web 8gb is plenty.

It is highly recommended you go for the same brand, i dont think i've ever seen an instance where mixed brands work together. Atleast from my experience.

Just get another 8gb (2x4) kit and you'll be set for life, you'll never need much ram unless you're sextuple screened rending 7 copys of the next hollywood blockbuster

Gaming / Mixing / programming mainly haha. but its not the fact its enough..I guess ram isnt expensive and i like to have a lot of something
